Chrome Car Wrap
Your Vision, Our Precision
Trusted by the Best

Chrome Wrap Does Not Ask for Attention. It Commands It.
There is no finish in wrapping that produces a stronger immediate reaction than chrome. A mirrored surface reflects everything around it in real time, which means the car does not just sit in its environment, it absorbs it. A chrome wrapped vehicle on a sunlit street throws light in every direction. In an underground car park it glows against its surroundings. That response is visceral and it is instant. Chrome is not a finish for someone who wants their car to blend in. It is for someone who has decided, clearly and without ambiguity, that the car should be seen. That confidence is part of what the finish communicates and people respond to it accordingly.
The Mirror Effect Creates a Car That Looks Different in Every Setting.
What makes chrome genuinely compelling beyond its initial impact is that it never looks the same twice. A gloss black car looks like a gloss black car. A chrome car looks like whatever is around it, rendered in a curved, distorted, constantly shifting reflection. In motion the effect is extraordinary. The environment streams across the bodywork in real time. Parked on a busy street the car becomes a mirror for everything passing by. At a show or event it draws a crowd not just because it is bright but because people want to see themselves in it. That quality of constant change, of a finish that responds to its context rather than ignoring it, is unlike anything else in the range.
Chrome Film Requires Our Most Exacting Preparation and Installation Standard.
Chrome wrap is the least forgiving film we work with. The mirrored surface amplifies every imperfection in the paint beneath it and every inconsistency in the application above it. A piece of contamination the size of a grain of sand reads clearly through a chrome finish in a way it never would under matte or satin. Surface preparation before a chrome install is more thorough and takes longer than any other finish we offer. Our studio in Birmingham runs a strict multi-stage prep sequence on every chrome job before a single panel is touched. The film itself requires precise tension management across every section because chrome distorts at stretch points in a way that standard film does not. The result, when the process is followed correctly, is a finish that stops traffic. That result only happens because the work behind it is uncompromising.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a chrome wrap cost?
Chrome wrap sits at the premium end of our pricing. A full chrome wrap on a standard hatchback or saloon typically falls between £3,000 and £6,000 depending on vehicle size, body complexity, and the specific chrome film chosen. Larger vehicles, those with deep panel curves or extensive disassembly requirements, will sit higher. Partial chrome work, a bonnet, roof, or set of accent panels, is priced per section. Get in touch with your vehicle details for an accurate quote.
Is chrome wrap legal on UK roads?
Chrome wrap is legal on UK roads. However, certain highly reflective chrome finishes may attract attention from traffic officers if the film is considered a hazard to other road users in direct sunlight. We advise customers on the specific films we recommend for road use and can discuss any concerns before the job is booked.
Does chrome wrap require a DVLA notification?
If the chrome wrap constitutes a significant colour change from the vehicle’s registered colour you are required to notify the DVLA and update your V5C logbook. We advise every chrome wrap customer on this before the job is completed. The process is straightforward and we can talk you through it.
How long does a chrome wrap last?
Chrome film has a shorter lifespan than standard wrap films due to the nature of its construction. A quality chrome wrap maintained correctly will typically last between two and four years. Chrome film is more sensitive to automated car washes, harsh chemicals, and prolonged direct sun exposure than standard films. Correct aftercare extends the lifespan significantly.
How do you maintain a chrome wrap?
Chrome wrap requires careful maintenance to preserve the mirror finish. Hand wash only using a pH neutral shampoo and a soft microfibre wash mitt. Never use automated car washes, abrasive cloths, or any product containing wax, polish, or solvent. Water spots should be removed promptly as they can etch into the surface if left. We go through the full care routine with every customer before the vehicle leaves the bay.
Can chrome wrap be applied to any vehicle?
Chrome film can be applied to any vehicle but it is more demanding to install on vehicles with deep panel curves, complex body lines, or a large number of trim pieces. The film has less stretch tolerance than standard wrap film which means highly contoured surfaces require additional time and expertise. We assess every vehicle before quoting to ensure the finish is achievable to the standard we expect.
Can you do a partial chrome wrap rather than a full car?
Yes. Chrome accenting is one of the most popular ways to use the finish. A chrome bonnet on a matte black car, chrome mirror caps, or a chrome roof on a dark base colour all create significant visual impact without the cost or commitment of a full wrap. Partial chrome work is priced per panel and we can advise on combinations that work well before you commit.
Is chrome wrap the same as a chrome respray?
No. A chrome respray involves an electroplating process that permanently alters the vehicle’s surface and is extremely expensive. Chrome wrap is a removable film that produces a similar visual effect at a fraction of the cost and without any permanent alteration to the paintwork. The wrap can be removed cleanly when you are ready to change the finish.
