This Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4-Door Coupe came into our Birmingham studio for a full colour change wrap. The owner’s brief was clear. Oracal Crystal White, applied cleanly across the entire car, over the existing factory colour. The GT 63 S is already a serious machine in any specification. The owner wanted the exterior to reflect their own choice of colour rather than the one it left the factory with. Crystal White was that choice.

Why Crystal White Works on the GT 63 S
The GT 63 S 4-Door Coupe has a long, low roofline and sharp body creases that give it a great deal of visual tension. Oracal Crystal White is a clean, high-gloss white that does not distract from that. It sits across the bodywork evenly and lets the shape do the work. The contrast between the white film, the dark window line, and the quad exhausts at the rear is strong without being forced. It is a colour that suits the proportions of this car well and reads clearly in both direct light and overcast conditions.
What the Job Required
The GT 63 S has a number of technically demanding areas for wrapping. The front splitter, the side sills, the pronounced shoulder line, and the rear diffuser each require the film to be worked carefully to avoid lifting or silvering at the edges. The door shuts and panel gaps on a car at this level of manufacture are precise, and the wrap has to follow them without compromise. We removed the necessary trim and components to ensure the film runs cleanly into every recess and shut line. Every edge was finished so the result looks like a factory specification rather than something applied after the fact.
Protection and Reversibility
The original factory paintwork is fully preserved beneath the film. The wrap protects the paint from stone chips, road debris, and light surface abrasion during everyday use. If the owner chooses to sell the car or return it to its original colour at any point, the film comes off cleanly and the factory finish underneath remains intact. That combination of colour change and paint protection is one of the most practical reasons to wrap a car at this value.
The Finished Result
The completed GT 63 S looks exactly as it should. Oracal Crystal White is a considered finish on a car with this kind of presence and the result holds up from every angle. The job was carried out at our Birmingham studio to the standard this car demands. If you have a project in mind, get in touch with our team in Birmingham and we can talk through what is possible.
